a birth story in black and white
I always edit births in color, and maybe a few black & white edits sprinkled though. Something lately has moved me about gray scale photos and the emotion they convey in a way that not always color can. This birth took place in the parents’ Phoenix, Arizona home with the older two siblings present. This was a surprise gender and when I tell you how magical those are, I’m really not lying. There are not many huge surprises in life, but waiting to find out the gender of your baby is a choice that you just do not regret making. The excitement and pure shock- just exhilarating.
